GLAMPOWER works with Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (and similar institutions such as historical societies) across regional NSW to empower them to be powerful advocates for community, collaboration, creativity and conversations in their towns and cities.
Too often, for communities across regional NSW, a trip to Sydney to attend professional development is a cost in time let alone the money to register and attend, so we are seeking to bring that professional development to you.
Through both workshops and unconference formats we will upskill staff and volunteers, and give you not only the skills, but also the tools you will need to make vital connections and networks that will enhance what you are already doing in your communities.
The unconference format allows participants to come together to work on and talk (network) about specific problems, and seek solutions to them.
We will give you a Library Based Community Development framework to enable you to be more fully integrated into the fabric of your community.
We encourage a Be More Pirate outlook based on the book “Be More Pirate” by Sam Connife Allende. An optimistic, practical, piratical framework for long-term solutions in a short-term world, drawn from the lesser known strategy, success and troublesome truth of the Grand Daddy’s of Disruption, the Golden Age Pirates.
We conduct either mid-week or weekend one or two day gatherings that combines the flexibility of an unconference format with the more structured learning of a workshop to give you the framework, skills and tools you need to enhance what you are already doing in your communities.
We’d love to talk.
